Life is full of transition and change, and sometimes these experiences can be difficult to adjust to. At these times, it can help us to have someone on the outside of these experiences who can support us with making sense and finding clarity
Relationships can sometimes be difficult to manage. We might find ourselves feeling unsure about them, or feeling uncertain about navigating changes in them as we grow and change, and life events shape us differently. Having a space, either on our own or together, can help us to think through how we are feeling and what might best support us to move forward
Our minds can sometimes be our own worst enemies in their attempts to protect us. This can look like anxiety or persistent worries about many different areas in our lives, that can be hard to escape from. Therapy can help us understand these worries and find ways to put them down so that we can feel more in control of our lives
Parenthood is a significant transition that can come with lots of joy but also all sorts of challenges. Difficult roads to conception, baby loss and miscarriage, tricky births, difficulties in adjusting to our new parenting identities and roles, challenges in connecting with our babies and surviving their big feelings and needs… all of these are opportunities to bring to therapy to work through. We can support you to navigate parenthood with more compassion for yourself, more ease, and less guilt, rage, shame or fear.
This is a bit like NCT but make it psychology! Do you think you would benefit from:
Join our 4 session Prep4Parenthood Workshops to think about the ways in which you might be shaped into parenthood and how to begin.
